The Room You Are Not Using Is Somewhere an Animal Can Recover.
You give the home and the daily care. GWARP covers the veterinary bills, the food, and the paperwork, and works toward the permanent placement.
- 700 + Animals in GWARP’s care
- 4 States where fosters are needed most
- $0 Cost to you — their care is covered
A Foster Place Is Often the Whole Difference.
As a New Hope Partner with NYC Animal Care Centers, GWARP can pull at-risk dogs from the shelter system — but only when there is somewhere safe for them to go. No foster home, no pull.
The need is heaviest in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Some animals stay a fortnight while a flight is arranged. Others need a few months to put on weight, finish a course of treatment, and learn that a person walking into the room is not a threat.
What We Ask, and What We Cover
- A Safe Room and a Routine Most animals arriving from the street need quiet, predictability, and time far more than they need space. A spare room is plenty.
- Every Cost Is Ours Veterinary care, medication, and food are covered by GWARP. You are never out of pocket for their treatment, and never making the decision alone.
- For as Long as You Can Tell us the window you can actually offer and we will match an animal to it. Saying two weeks and meaning it is more useful than saying six months and hoping.
Fostering Is How Most of Our Adopters Started.
Nobody signs anything by sending the form. We talk it through, answer whatever you want to ask, and only then find the right animal for your home.
Would rather ask a question first? That is a perfectly good place to start.
There Are Other Ways In.
Adopting, donating, sharing a post, or accompanying an animal on a flight all move the same work forward.
